Social Responsibility

Social responsibility of a business is a social concept which suggests that a company should not only observe laws and offer quality products and services, but also voluntarily undertake certain social commitments and obligations. For Uralsvyazinform the corporate social responsibility presents a valuable opportunity to harmonize its commercial interests with interests of the society, to run our business in compliance with ethical norms wherever a corporation influences the society. Apart from just ethical compliance, these social policies bring tangible benefits for both business and society.

Uralsvyazinform is the largest telecommunications operator in the Urals Federal District and Perm Krai. Our business is very important for the regional progress and welfare. The stable work of production and budgetary organizations, daily communications between people equally depend on the non-remitting and responsible work of the communications staff.

In its charitable activities Uralsvyazinform offers direct support to the most disadvantages social groups such as orphaned and handicapped children, retired and physically handicapped persons.

Uralsvyazinform is one of the sponsors of the Communications History Museum.

We also support higher education institutions, e.g. Urals Technical Institute of Communications and Information Science. Apart from technical assistance in high-tech training, the universities received financial support used to improve their material and technical basis.

Uralsvyazinform also supports such creative associations of young people as “KVN” movement, in particular in the Urals region.

We are also big supporters of sports and sports events. The company finances Perm Volleyball Club and “Lokomotiv” Volleybal Team (Ekaterinburg), supports sports schools and specialized sports funds, and sponsors various sports events.

A very special care is given to the World War veterans, and Uralsvyazinform is delighted to help elderly people. The company has been successful in realizing the plan to provide every veteran with telephone communications, and USI made this present to these people by the 60th Anniversary of the Victory Day.
